Elena played on day one at the last Grand-Slam-tournaemnt in New York the first round against Samantha Stosur from Australia. Stosur is on number 5th seeds. Elena played very well at the beginning of the match. She won the first set 6:3. The second set was very tough. Stosur was much more lucky in tie-break. She won 7:6.
